Learn About - Gypsum Rosettes

Gypsum Rosettes are also called Desert Rose because they often form in arid sandy places.  Evaporation is the key to their formation.  They have the formation of crystal clusters of Gypsum or Baryte which contain an abundance of sand grains. They can be found in many different places around the world.  And they are pretty cool to look at.  Some look like little roses, thus the name.
